Blackwater cottage is a house that has a very warm atmosphere, and we hope that are guests will feel very compfatable while staying here. We have a nice garden which is available for are guests to relax in and wonder around. The hamlet is tucked away down some quite narrow lanes, so is very peaceful. There are some wonderful walks in the surrounding area. Originally a 19th century farm cottage, Blackwater Cottage is nestled in the Blackdown Hills and is surrounded by walking trails. It offers all guests free on-site parking, free Wi-Fi access and welcome tea and homemade biscuits. Ideal for exploring the West Country, it is just 5 minutes drive from the A303 and 15 minutes drive from the M5 motorway. The light and airy rooms at Blackwater Cottage each include a TV with satellite channels, a garden view, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. Some of the rooms also benefit from an en suite bathroom. Using locally-sourced ingredients, a full English breakfast is served every morning in the dining room. Guests with specific dietary requirements can also be catered for. From the B&B, the town of Taunton is 8 miles away. Taunton Racecourse is just 12 minutes’ drive away. Somerset County Cricket Club is also just a 19-minute journey by car. Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Guests arriving between 16:00 and 18:00 can enjoy tea and homemade cake or biscuits with the property owners. If you plan to arrive outside reception hours, please inform the property in advance., After a booking is made, you will receive an email from the property with further instructions regarding the payment procedures and the key collection. The property cannot be reached by public transportation. You are therefore kindly requested to arrive by your own means. For an additional price a cooked dinner with family is also available out of season. Please note, the property cannot accommodate children under 6 years of age.
