The Jacamar Lodge Expeditions is located on the banks of the Amazon River, in the middle of the jungle and 120 km from downtown Iquitos. It is a rustic hostel that offers a variety of activities in the river and jungle. Jacamar Lodge Expeditionss bungalows are built with rustic materials and have private bathrooms, a terrace overlooking the river, mosquito nets and kerosene lamps. The property has a 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle. Jacamar Lodge Expeditionss information desk organizes various activities such as piranha fishing, canoeing, pink and gray dolphin sighting, bird sighting, boating or canoeing, and jungle expeditions throughout the day and night. In addition, guests can use hammocks overlooking the river. Jacamar Lodge Expeditions features a 24-hour front desk, free luggage storage and a restaurant-bar. Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are not included in the all-inclusive rate. Jacamar Lodge Expeditions can only be accessed by boat. Please contact the property if you wish to arrange a free pick-up from the airport to the lodge (the whole trip lasts about 2.5 hours (1 hour drive, 1.5 hours boat).
