About 1.5 kilometres east from Aris Apartments, is the village of Gerani with its blue-flag beach with water sports. The village center has a good tourist infrastructure including bars, tavernas, shops, and supermarkets. Hardly 1.5 kilometres on the road towards Chania is the village of Platanias, which during the summer period almost monopolizes the nightlife of Chania. Transportation to Platanias is facilitated by frequent bus service to and from Chania and a bus stop is right outside the hotel.
