After a century old, family ownership of a field that is now Arkadi Hills Estate and its surrounding olive fields. Initially the hill side land was full of low grape vines, producing golden raisins , up to the 1960’s and 1970’s. Then , after family discussions, the first olive trees were planted. Those trees have been producing olive oil that Homer the ancient poet, called it the liquid gold ! In this nice place we have constructed a complex of 6 vacation homes with the aim to create a calm and natural place , to experience the Cretan country side with its rolling hills, the breathtaking view of the aegean sea, and the historic town of Rethymnon and even the White Mountains of Chania, while being under the Psiloritris mountain top. The Crete Arkadi Hills Estate is located between the towns of Chania and Heraklion in the beautiful countryside of Nea Magnesia and Prinos village just 800 meters from the beaches. The all-year hotel is totally surrounded by green olive groves, and lush vegetation. Within a few hundred metres though, you will also find many supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, traditional taverns, bars and stores. Write home about the location using the free Wi-Fi internet access. Relax around the pool until ready to eat. There is an abundance of fresh meats, cheese, fruits and vegetables, year around from the farms in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
