Dating back to 1690, Régi Posta Étterem és Fogadó is Debrecen’s oldest standing building. The completely refurbished property does an excellent job of blending modern design elements with some of the building’s original features. Rooms are individually decorated, with natural wood and stone materials featuring heavily in the design. All rooms have a private bathroom, TV and a balcony or terrace with views of the garden. Régi Posta Étterem és Fogadó’s restaurant serves traditional Hungarian cuisine. Food and drink can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the dining hall which features arched red-brick ceilings. The Deri Museum, Csokonai Theatre and the local thermal baths can be reached from Régi Posta Étterem és Fogadó in 10 minutes or less.
