Overview
Camp Shawu is named after the renowned African elephants known as the Magnificent Seven. The Shawu Bull roamed the valley for sixty years, boasting the longest tusks ever recorded in South Africa. Those who were fortunate enough to have encountered this astonishing and moving bull say he took your breath away, and Camp Shawu aims to do the same. Accommodation at this property fits the definition of ‘glamping' with its main lodge with authentic buffalo dung walls and five luxurious rooms. Each room has an en suite bathroom with bath and outdoor shower as well as a sitting area with a fireplace. The lodge's spacious veranda overlooks the Mpanamana Dam, providing the perfect place for guests to relax with a drink while observing game coming down to drink from the river. Located in the south eastern area of the Kruger National Park, Camp Shawu offers a safari experience that is treasured.
