Carino Porteno Bed & Breakfast

In 1956 my father, René Hurtado, began this house. For three generations my family and I have passed our family life. During 2007 my daughter, Claudia, and I decided to start Cariño Porteño Bed and Breakfast. Cariño Porteño is not a regular hostel; we are committed to preserve that special family environment though Maria, my mother, accommodated dozens of guests. Many would say “it’s like a honey house”. From that time there still remains the open space and the piano but most important of all is the warm spirit for all the people whom visit our house. Located in Valparaíso, Cariño Porteño Bed & Breakfast is a home built in 1956 that has been turned into a bed and breakfast by the family. The house can be found in Placeres Hill, a 5 minute drive to both Valparaíso and Viña del Mar cities. Free WiFi access is available and breakfast is provided each morning with freshly baked cookies. The shared bathrooms also come with towels. Some rooms have a sea view. Bed linens are also included. A shared lounge, an ironing service, and a laundry are also available for guests to use. A daily cleaning service is provided. The property offers free parking with a reservation. The bed and breakfast is 3.4 km from Cerro Concepcion, 5.8 km from Cerro Alegre and 4.6 km from Playa Ancha. Arturo Merino Benitez Airport is 84 km away. Please note the propertys kitchen is for staff only and cannot be accessed by guests. Please note this property is located on one of Valparaísos hills. To access the property guests must walk uphill and take stairs in various occasions, making it not recommendable for disabled or elderly guests. Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA). This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid separately.
