Dakotah Rose Bed and Breakfast

Our home was built for Dr. Andrew Carr Sr. (no relation to Jim and Carol). It has beautiful woodwork and Tiffany stained glass windows. It is over 8,000 sq. ft., three levels, six bedrooms. We are on the National Registry of Historic Places. The Dakotah Rose is your opportunity to experience premier lodging in a century old home that has all the charm of yesterday with all the modern amenities of today. Located on 1.5 acres of Souris River-front property, this is one of the few well-preserved examples of massive architect-designed homes built by affluent North Dakotans, the Carr family, at the turn of the century. The home is wrapped in a grandiose porch and has stained and beveled glass throughout the property. Each of the six rooms is uniquely designed with personal-size refrigerators, bath amenities, bathrobes and tea and coffee-making facilities. The third-floor ballroom acts as a common area for all guests with a couch and chairs, Ms. Pac-man game, board games, decks of cards, a phonograph and records. A full breakfast is provided every morning in the dining room. Located in scenic Minot, North Dakota, guests can delight in all the culture and recreation "The Magic City" offers including a symphony orchestra, Scandinavian Heritage Park and Roosevelt Park Zoo.
