Falu Fängelse Vandrarhem

Housed in a converted prison from 1850, Falu Fängelse Vandrarhem offers unique accommodation in old prison cells. This hostel, 20 minutes’ drive from Borlänge, offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Dormitory rooms at Falu Fängelse have 2 or 4 beds with shared bathroom facilities in the corridor. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a common TV room. BBQ equipment is available in the furnished pavillion. The hostel features a museum with free entrance on the basement level. It contains prison cells and historical pieces from the prison’s operational period from 1850 until 1995. Located 2 km from Falun Central Station, Falu Fängelse Hostel is also a 10-minute walk from Lugnet Sports Centre. Staff can recommend area activities such as golf, fishing, skiing and hiking. Bed linen and towels are not included. You can rent them on site or bring your own. You can clean before check-out or pay a final cleaning fee.
