Our property started life as a purified water production plant, one of the first on the peninsula. The old water plant is now the three rooms called The Nutmeg Suite. The property was owned by my uncles father and has 2.5 acres of old growth native trees and citrics, half now in lovely tropical gardens featuring exotic Gingers and Heliaconias, visible from each of our 7 rooms. The hotel is a completely secure walled compound, and does not face the main hwy, assuring your privacy, and served by an all local Mayan staff. The Flycatcher Inn features Yucatan style architecture, with extensive gardens, and furnished terraces. Located on 2.5 acres of grounds, we are situated 8 km from the heart of the Puuc route, and 9 minutes from Uxmal and the Chocolate Museum. The air conditioned spacious rooms feature Mexican decor, mosquito screens, ceiling fans, high count all cotton linens, pillowtop mattresses, and bathrooms with free toiletries. Public areas have free wifi access. Laundry services are available for longer stays for a fee. We offer a full complementary breakfast, and both lunch and evening food services, featuring two special choices of regional dishes each night. Full bar and snacks available on the outside terrace. Many native birds can be seen on the hotel grounds, as well as walking into the surrounding farm areas. Flycatcher inn is 15km from Ticul town center and Merida international Airport is a 1-hour drive away. Please note this property does not accept American Express cards.
