Gasthaus Merkel Hotel

This family-run guest house stands on the old marketplace in Bad Berneck, surrounded by the Fichtelgebirge Mountains. It offers spacious rooms, free parking and traditional Franconian food. All rooms at the Gasthaus-Hotel Merkel include private bathrooms with hairdryers. Some rooms feature a balcony. Regional and seasonal meals are served in the Wirtsstube restaurant. In the summer months, guests can eat on the terrace. The surrounding nature park is ideal for hiking and cycling. After a long day, guests can relax in Hotel Merkel’s sauna. Gasthaus-Hotel Merkel is 20 minutes from Bayreuth and 45 minutes from the Czech border. Check-in on Mondays is only available between 17:00 and 19:00. Other arrival times are possible on Monday, however, should be prearranged with the property. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays. On all other days, please note that reception is open until 21:00. Please call the hotel in advance if you expect to arrive after 21:00.
