Gletscherschlucht

The hotel Gletscherschlucht is situated at the entrance to the glacier canyon and close to the crystal exhibition at the valley floor of Grindelwald. The hotel is well located for those wanting to explore the surrounding area of Grindelwald. The cross country ski slope is also situated close by, next to the glacier canyon. Inside the hotel there are a few spa facilities. These include a sauna. At the hotel there is also a childrens play area. The propertys rooms have panoramic views of the village or the surrounding mountains. The hotels restaurant and bistro serves seasonal cuisine. Near the hotel there is a golf driving range and tennis courts, and the glacier gorge is directly by the hotel. There are 300 km of marked walking, hiking and mountain paths in the surrounding mountain areas. A specially built wooden walkway leads from the hotel over waters and through the tunnels. It leads about 1 km into the gorge. A bus stop can be found right in front of the hotel and buses are running daily every hour till 18:00. The breakfast buffet is served from 7.30 to 10.00 daily. The restaurant is open from 8:00 to 23:00 daily in summer, and from Thursday to Sunday, from 8:00 to 21:00 in winter. Large groups planning to dine at the restaurant are required to book in advance. If you expect to arrive after 18:00, please inform the property in advance. Please note that after 22:00, a fee is charged for every hour which has begun, if the hotel has not been informed until 18:00.
