Hostel October

Hostel "October" is located in a former flax spinning mill. Flax factory was built by the Moscow factory owners brothers Gotovymi in 1859 at the confluence of Zaprudnya and Kostroma. In the first year of its existence, the factory consisted of 123 of the machine and 470 workers. By 1917 the number of machines increased to 465, and the number of workers to 600. After the nationalization of the factory in 1918 began a gradual increase of the production rate. During world war II in the shortest possible time and without any outside help, the production switched to military production. Posted here equipment evacuated Smolensk flax. In the postwar years continued the reconstruction, directed on introduction of mechanization and automation, which allowed to dramatically increase productivity. In October 1957, the factory was named after the October revolution. It was part of Kostroma the order of the red banner linen production amalgamation.
