Ibera Lodge

Ibera Lodge is an Ecologic Boutique Hotel located in the heart of Ibera Marshes Natural Reserve. We are committed to the sustainable tourism and we work with conservation and environmentally friendly politics. Our lodge is completely isolated from any visual and noise pollution, based in 150 hectares within the Ibera Marshes, surrounded by 100% natural native forests. Our infrastructure was designed taking special care of the natural resources of the area and making use of them. Thereby, our hall’s and galleries’ roofs are made of red thatching-straw, which are typical of the area and function as heat natural insulators. Ibera Lodge follows the Corrientes’ country line of construction. Sections of the of the lodge’s hull were built with demolition openings of antique houses and traditional mud-bricks. We constantly look forward to reducing the energy and water consumption. For this reason, we do not have irrigation systems; our whole yard contains only native flora species that do not require them.Environmental education is a topic we address daily with our guests and staff. Located in the Ibera Wetlands, Ibera Lodge has its own landing strip and a private dock, just a few metres from the Iberá Estuaries. Free WiFi access is available. The Ibera Lodge is built with native wood and natural resources. It offers rooms with air conditioning and views of the garden, decorated with chequered floors. There are private bathrooms featuring bathtubs. Guests can start the day with gourmet dishes in the regional and international breakfast, which can be enjoyed in the red-tiled outdoor shaded area. Free guided excursions, including daytime sailing, horseback riding, cultural exchanges, trekking and photographic safari, are provided. Ibera is 60 km away from Mercedes City and a 4 hour drive from Fernando Piragine Niveyro International Airport, in Corrientes. There is free private parking on site. Please inform Ibera Lodge in advance of your expected arrival time. These are available for an extra fee. Note that all rates include free guided excursions, sailing, horseback riding and trekking. A deposit via bank wire is required to secure your reservation. The hotel will contact you after booking to provide bank wire instructions. Please note the based on local tax laws, all Argentinian citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (VAT) of 21%. Only foreigners who pay with a foreign credit card, debit card or via bank transfer are exempt from this 21% additional fee (VAT) in accommodation and breakfast when presenting a foreign passport or a foreign ID along with a supporting document handed by the national migrations authority, if applicable.
