Krauterhotel Edelweiss

Family-run for 4 generations, Kräuterhotel Edelweiss is located at 1,550 metres above sea level on the car-free Rigi Mountain, next to Rigi Staffelhöhe Train Station. It offers panoramic views over the Swiss Alps and Lake Lucerne, free WiFi, 2 restaurants, and a hot pot. The Panorama Restaurant has a sun terrace with mountain views and offers traditional Swiss cuisine and regional specialities, all made from Swiss products. In the Regina Montium restaurant, which was awarded with 1 Michelin Star in 2017, guests can enjoy gourmet cuisine based on traditional recipes, exclusively made from Swiss products. The traditionally furnished rooms provide a balcony, a desk, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. In winter, snow shoes and sledges can be rented on site, and a ski slope is right outside the hotel. The Rigi Kaltbad Spa Centre can be reached in a 15-minute walk. Please note that the hotel is located on a car-free mountain and can only be reached by public transport. The Staffelhöhe Train Station of the Rigi Railway, which starts at Vitznau, is right next to the hotel. It can also be reached by cable car from Weggis (with a change at Rigi Kaltbad), followed by a 15-minute walk. Parking is available at the valley stations of the railway line and the cable car. Please note that the restaurants are closed on Mondays. Half board, snacks or fondue are available upon request.
