La Almadreña

An old dwelling in the Cantabria (Spain) totally refurbished so that travellers can have all mod-cons in a cosy rural environment. The inn lies in a beautiful and unspoilt valley where guests can enjoy the peace and quiet. The area is ideal for rambling and trekking around the River Asón and the Collados Natural Park, a paradise for birdwatchers and rock climbers alike. Travellers can obtain all information from the Bureau in Gándara, 5 minutes away. The inn is also well located for skiing in season (30 min.) or going to the beach (45 min.). All the 7 double rooms in this 2-storey inn (4 with double bed and 3 with 2 singles) have en-suite bathrooms, 5 extra beds enabling the premises to cater for up to 19 persons. The inn serves a local breakfast and has 2 communal living rooms, both with TV, one upstairs leading onto the balcony, and the other downstairs, with a fireplace.
