My name’s John and I’ve been running Lane House for almost 3 years. The period property dates back to the 1800s and is set in a rural location with fabulous countryside views from all rooms. You also have easy access to the motorway which is a 5-minute drive away. There’s also a good local pub which does food and a village shop which is a short walk away. Lane House offers a rural location in Levens, one mile outside the Lake District. This charming property offers en suite rooms, free WiFi and a pretty garden. Levens Heritage is a 3 minutes drive away and Sizergh Castle is a 6-minute journey by car. Offering views of the lovely countryside surrounding Levens, each room at Lane House has elegant design finished with antique details. There is a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and a private bathroom. A full English or continental breakfast is served each day. Picnic lunches can be prepared upon request and newspapers can also be requested at reception. Many local pubs, shops and amenities can be found nearby. The Lake District is ideal for walking and the beautiful lakes at Windermere and Coniston can be reached in 30 minutes by car. The town of Kendal is just 6 miles from Lane House, while Lancaster is a 20-minute drive away.
