Lough Owel Lodge

We are a farm house on 100 acres of land that goes to the Lake . Guests can walk through the farm.Martin is an organic farmer and has both sheep and cattle on the farm. We also have two Donkeys Sonny and Cher who interact with the guests. Dublin is only 50 miles away. There are daily trains to dublin which takes a little over an hour.Touring irelands ancient east is ideal from our home most are only an hour away. All our food is prepared in the kitchen to order and we use either home grown or local produce.Tourist information is available for guests and we are happy to help guests with their itinerary and assist them with their travel plans. With beautiful lake views, Lough Owel Lodge is set in a tranquil rural farmhouse, just 5 minutes’ drive from the market town of Mullingar. You can meet the animals on the farm, sail the lake, and enjoy home baking and a game of tennis. Looking out over the lake and rolling countryside, every room at Lough Owel Lodge is bright and spacious with free Wi-Fi. Some rooms boast a four-poster bed, interconnecting rooms, or historic family antiques including an ornate half-tester bed and a Chinese tapestry. Freshly prepared and homemade breakfasts are provided each morning and include full Irish breakfasts, pancakes, a continental selection, and fresh tea, coffee and bread. Mullingar Sailing Club is just at the end of the farm, and guests can enjoy fishing for trout on the lake.
