Matterhorn South Lodge

Overlooking Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains, Matterhorn South Lodge offers a guest lounge with a gas fireplace, a TV room and a large shared patio. The property offers accommodation in two different buildings. The Lodge building offers private rooms with an ensuite bathroom, TV and fridge. All bed linen and towels provided. There is a communal kitchen in the Lodge building with an outside deck area with tables. The other building is the backpackers offering a mix of private rooms, mixed dormitory rooms and a female dormitory room. All rooms have access to shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. All dormitory rooms have a back door that opens out on to another back deck and garden area. Wanaka Matterhorn South Lodge is 3 minutes’ walk from Wanaka’s town centre, and a short stroll from the lake. There is a bus stop just a 5-minute walk away. The property can help book activities and advise on local hikes. Please note that Matterhorn South Lodge does not accept payments with American Express credit cards. Please note all shared dormitory rooms and shared bathrooms are for guests 18 years and over.
