Penzion Karpatia

Pension Karpatia (formerly Carpathia) was the first building constructed in the village of Tatranská Lesná in 1928. Later on a few other hotels, pensions and a children’s sanatorium were built on Cesta Slobody leading from Tatranská Lomnica to Starý Smokovec. Holiday village Tatranská Lesná has quickly become one of the most popular tourist centers in the Tatras thanks to its beautiful untouched nature. The family-run Penzion Karpatia, set in a quiet area surrounded by the Tatra Forest is a great starting point for hiking. Tatranská Lomnica Ski Resort with one of the steepest cable cars in Europe, going to Lomnický štít, is 2.5 km away. The Penzion is housed in the first building built in the village of Tatranská Lesná dating back from 1928. It offers bright and simply decorated rooms with free Wi-FI. A breakfast and a dinner are served daily in the Karpatia Penzion’s restaurant. A playground for children with swings and climbing frames is available. The hiking pathway begins 20 metres from Karpatia and leads to the Studeny potok waterfalls, further to Hrebienok and to the Rainerova chata, the first mountain cottage for tourists. The town of Starý Smokovec is 3 km away. The ski lift to Hrebienok can be reached within 3.5 km. Free private parking is available on site.
