Pitlochry Youth Hostel

Situated a 10-minute walk from the Victorian town of Pitlochry and from the railway station, Pitlochry Youth Hostel offers budget accommodation suitable for families, groups, and individual travellers. Guests also benefit from Wi-Fi access and free parking. Each room features an en suite bathroom which, for dormitory rooms, is shared among the occupants. All rooms at Pitlochry Youth Hostel include bed linen; towels are available free of charge only in some rooms. A buffet breakfast is served daily. There are 2 guest lounges for guests to relax in. Restaurants and shops can be found within a 10-minute walk from the property. Conveniently located to explore the beautiful Highlands, Pitlochry offers train and bus service to many destinations nearby, including the historic Fort William, 75 miles away. The village of Blair Atholl, boasting a castle and a museum, is a 12-minute drive away. Blair Atholl Distillery is 1 mile from the hostel. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express. All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund). Individual reservations (Up to 9 persons) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If cancelled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged. Groups reservations (more than 9 persons) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost. No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel. Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hostelling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancellation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used. From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodation. Parties with young children (under 12 years) will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available Hosteling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots. Check-in from 16:30 until 21:00 and check-out from 07:30 until 10:00. The hostel is closed during the day for cleaning, it may be possible in some instances to drop luggage off but this must be arranged in advance with the hostel. The front door locks at 21:00 so late arrival and access outside opening hours is by pre-arrangement only.
