Pousada BarÃo De Forrester

This inn is located in the village of Alijó, next to the Douro River. The Palacete Barão de Forrester features vineyards which guests can visit, as well as a green garden and an outdoor swimming pool The air-conditioned rooms at the Barão de Forrester all feature private bathrooms, sofa, TV and a terrace. The Palacete Barão de Forrester features an in house restaurant, where guests can have a taste of the local cuisine, as well as try some international flavours. Alternatively, a number of local restaurants, serving traditional Portuguese meals are available within 150 metres of the inn. The inn features a bar, where guests can try refreshing drinks and cocktails after a swim in the outdoor pool. The area features a green garden with a sun terrace, where guests are welcome to relax and take a break. Guests can tour the local vineyards which produce the famous Port wines. The centre of Alijó is a 6-minute walk away. The green areas of the Alvão Natural Park are a 49-minute drive away. Vila Real is a 32-minute drive away and features the famous and scenic Mateus Palace. The property is a 90-minute drive from the Porto International Airport. The Palacete Barão de Forrester does not belong to the Pestana Group since 2013 and at the moment it has a private management. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
