Part of the Silent Living collective, thoughtful & contemporary residences spread across Portugal, Santa Clara 1728 is truly a peaceful home-turned-hotel where guests are welcomed as long-time friends in the leafy Graa district of Lisbon. Deliberately pared back to encourage quietness, presence & a fresh perspective, the renovation of an old noble house - which features eggshell stucco walls, wooden accents & lighting by FLOS - is carried out under the architectural guidance of Aires Mateus. Prioritising the respect of the original heritage of the building, the result is a simple soul that flows through six suites surrounded by towering monuments, marble-topped churches & stunning views of the Tejo river through floor to ceiling windows.
