Eckernfoerde is the ideal starting point not only for fans of the Baltic Sea, but also for exploring northern Schleswig-Holstein with e.g. cultural visits to the many state museums, country estates, Haithabu, hikes in the Huettener mountains, Windeby Noor, day trips to the North Sea coast, as well as enjoyment of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Green Screen Film Festival, sailing events or practicing sporting activities such as golfing, horseback riding, snorkeling. The south wing of the Stadthotel Eckernförde will be renovated from November 1st, 2023 to February 29th, 2024, so noise pollution cannot be completely ruled out. However, service will not be affected.
