The Windsor Trooper

The Windsor Trooper is an 18th century public house and inn, with 9 cosy rooms to welcome you. Just a short walk from the town centre as well as the castle it is the perfect location to stay whether you’re sightseeing, having a mini break or here for business, being in the heart of the residential part of town, The Windsor Trooper provides the best of everything Windsor has to offer. The Windsor Trooper is one of the most popular pubs in town, you’ll be presented with a warm welcome before sitting down to have a drink in the pub or wonderful sun trap garden. The bar stocks a fabulous selection of ales, traditional cider, a wide choice of Belgian beers, a fine wine selection and a large batch of gins, there is literally something for everyone. The Trooper also hosts live music every Thursday as well as a quiz night on the last Wednesday of each month. You’ll be hard-pushed to find a better atmosphere in Windsor. Please note the Pub opens daily from 11am, therefore we do not offer breakfast. We are proud winners of the Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead CAMRA Real Cider Pub of the Year 2022 & 2023, we consistantly have 10 Tradional Ciders available so when you visit why not try them out for yourself and see why we’re the best around! All rooms at the Trooper have private entrances, they all have ensuite shower rooms with toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities and TV. The 2 bedroom apartment is ideal for a Family with young children, due to its layout the apartment is not recommended for 4 adults. There are many cafes near by that will provide Breakfast and reasonably priced paid parking can be found nearby, we do not have storage for bicycles. Please inform The Windsor Trooper Pub & Inn in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. The Windsor Trooper reopened in early September 2019 under New Management. All bookings are based on room rate only. Please note there is no parking available on site, Guests can find several car parks nearby. Free WiFi is only available in the Main Bar. Please be aware some of the rooms are only accessed by stairs. If you require ground floor accommodation, please contact the property when booking.
