Whitianga Campground

Situated across the road from Buffalo Beach, Whitianga Campground features a variety of accommodation with free onsite parking. Guests enjoy a shared kitchen and dining area, a children’s playground and a BBQ area. Set between a river and native bush, Whitianga Campground is just a 2-minute drive from Whitianga town centre. Accommodation options include studios with a kitchenette and self-contained chalets with a fully equipped kitchen. All accommodation includes a TV and seating area. Some accommodation offers a private bathroom. Whitianga Campgrounds facilities include an internet kiosk, a shared kitchen and a guest laundry. There is a boat parking area and kayaks can be launched directly into the river, which connects to Whitianga Harbour. Please inform Whitianga Campground in advance of your expected arrival time. Guests need to meet one or more requirements to stay in this property: proof of full Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination, a recent valid negative Coronavirus PCR test, or recent proof of Coronavirus recovery. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please note that, for security purposes, the front gate to the property is locked at 22:00 and unlocked at 07:00 each day.Guests who wish to arrive outside those dates must ring the office and make other arrangements. Please note reception hours are 09:00 until 20:00. If you expect to arrive outside these hours, please inform Whitianga Campground in advance, using the contact details found on the booking confirmation. Please note that for bookings of 3 or more rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. For bookings over the Christmas and New Years period, 25 December and 31 December, all guests must be over the age of 21 and there is a bond of 1 nights stay. Please note that satellite channels are only available to guests with a MySky card. Please note that pets are strictly not permitted inside the cabins under any circumstances. Camp showers are $2 for a 3/1/2 minute hot shower The campground has separate male and female ablution facilities, barbaque and outside dining area as well as a large communal kitchen and TV room Tokens can be obtained from the office to use the showers Bookings by groups may incur a good behaviour bond. Guests please DONT bring your pets.
