Our property was built originally as a large FAMILY home - there was an element in the original design to eventually convert into a tourist property--- the large mountainside garden has magnificent views of the valley & mountains in the distance.- its proximity to the wonderful seaside village of Hout Bay which is known for its ease of pace & being very central to the entire region of the mother city Cape Town - The conversion to a guesthouse with a feel of a home --- makes it easy to promote the "Home away from home" feel that we offer and share with travelers from all of the corners of the world. Featuring and self-catering suites overlooking the outdoor pool, garden and mountains, Whittlers Lodge is on a mountainside in Hout Bay Valley. Hout Bay Beach is 5 km away and Cape Town is 20 km away. Each spacious suite has either a private patio or balcony, and an en suite bathroom with shower. Some include patio doors, or a lounge area with sofa bed. Every suite has a kitchenette including an oven, fridge and microwave, and kitchenware is provided. The garden has braai barbecues and a sun terrace with dining area. There is a supermarket within a 5-minute drive and several restaurants and bars within 10 minutes’ drive. The property offers free Wi-Fi and can arrange tours. Chapman’s Peak is 10 minutes’ drive away and Camp’s Bay Beach is around 18 minutes by car. Table Mountain is 18 km away.
