Ximongwe River Camp HIPPO Cottage

Ximongwe River Camp - HIPPO Cottage is situated in the Parsons Private Nature Reserve on the banks of the Olifants River and part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Hippo Cottage features a rustic interior with Giraffe as the main focus. Each room is equipped with log beds, luggage racks, a fan, linen, towels and are serviced daily. The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen and BBQ area. Guests can prepare their own meals in the privacy of their fully equipped self-catering unit or additionally, breakfast and dinner can be prepared which will then be served in the dining area of Hippo Cottage. Early morning or late afternoon game drives with an experienced field guide can be arranged, as well as professionally guided bush and bird walks. Visiting the Kruger National Park, Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, Olifants River Boat Cruise, Blyde River Canyon Safari and Hot-air Balloon Safaris can also be arranged. Hoedspruit is 45.5 km south of the lodge and Hoedspruit Airport (East Gate Airport) is a 1-hour drive away. Please inform Ximongwe River Camp - HIPPO Cottage in advance of your expected arrival time. Please note it is recommended that guests use a high-rise vehicle or 4x4 to access the property.
